The quick beating exhausted Tony. He was out of shape and it was hard work hurting another man. Still, the soreness and ache of exercise felt good. It reminded him that he was alive and that was not a sensation he felt too often anymore.
Too often, he felt worthless. Until he found his calling, that is. It turned out that he was really good at making others feel pain. You might even say he had a talent for it. Turns out, sometimes you can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
